[TYPO3-english] gifbuilder text rendering issue

Hello all,

I have used GIFBUILDER to render a text, which worked fine. However, 
after moving the site to a different server there seems to be a problem 
with rendering some characters, see the attached image. As you can see 
the letter 'j' is misplaced.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

The old and the new server have some small differences:
PHP version: 5.2.5 (old), 5.3.2 (new)
ImageMagick version: 6.3.6 (old), 6.5.5-10 (new)
