Hi,

I tried the tool with a local database (192.168.0.5:[myPort]) and with a 
foreign DB (default port 3306).
Both connections are working fine. In "Connection Type" I chosed "direct".

Perhaps you have set an empty password - that makes problems on several 
levels so set a password in MySQL!
