If you were a pro, you wouldn't want any mailing lists at all but newsgroups

typo3.english is the universal group for the average TYPO3 user, so it's not
supposed to dig deeper than that. Check out news.netfielders.de with a
newsreader and find almost any level from what you call "home" to "pro" and
even specialised team and project groups as well as local and regional
usergroups.

I recommend typo3.dev, typo3.core, typo3.projects.typo3_4-3.general and
typo3.projects.typo3v4mvc for a good "pro" start.
