[TYPO3-english] tt_news and groups

Hello all,

I am trying to set up my tt_news so that a tt_news category has exactly one fe user group associated with it. I have a page that all users are directed to upon login. The idea is that each user would see articles that they have permission to see. However, it is displaying all the news items regardless. The only thing it hides is the text that shows which category the article belongs to. 

I have assigned fe_groups to a corresponding tt_news category. I then created several news items and assigned the same category to each. When I login with a user in that group, it displays a list of tt_news items like the following:

Linked article title
Group: My Group

When I log in with a user that is not in the group, the same list shows up only the Group: My Group line disappears.
