[TYPO3-english] Off-topic: Self-signed Code signing cert.

Hi,

I know this mailing-list should use to discuss about Typo3.
But I don't know how to find help elsewhere.

I want to know what exactly user who downloads self-signed content have 
to install/import in their machine first? I saw someone said "Root CA 
certificate" and another one said "Digital certificate". Which one is 
which one? Since there are 2 certificates involve, I'm really confused.
