Thanks for clearing this up.
So what if I made a reference instead of copying?
lib.fontsize <. plugin.tx_efafontsize_pi1
instead of:
lib.fontsize < plugin.tx_efafontsize_pi1

That would probably solve it.
Haven't got the time to test right now.
