[TYPO3] stdWrap Image from Template Resource

good thought Rob, but unfortunatly that does not solve the problem  
with typo3 not resolving the "real" filename
e.g <img src="path/file*.gif" > displays a broken link due to the  
wildcard.

What I would like to do is to "preconfigure" a valid IMG_RESOURCE  
(uploaded in constant editor) that can be used by an allWrap statement.

For example:
NO.allWrap =  <li>|{$validImageFileFromTemplate}</li> |*|  <li>| 
{$validImageFileFromTemplate}</li> |*|  <li>|</li>

Any suggestions if that is possible?
