[TYPO3] gifbuilder or rgsmoothgallery?

Hi,

I'm croping an image, then I'm putting an copyright notice on the image. 
When I then put the boxes on the croped image, the first image has white 
bars, the second has grey ones... But the text remains white! I'm 
totally lost on this one...

Has anybody an idea?
