Your crontab/scheduler is setup to aggressively. Directmail typically 
sends 50 mails each minute, and then marks them as sent. If it does not 
finish within this minute, the mails will not be marked as sent before 
the next mailer round begins, and they get send again.

The simplest sollution is to lower the frequency on the 
crontab/scheduler. But ofcource it can take some time to send 2700 mails 
then.. something like 1 hour and 48 minutes.
