[TYPO3] 3.8.1 or 4.0 for new stable (productio) project? (Recommendations!)

Would recommend 4.0 on a new install. Haven't had any problems with tt_news, 
chc_forum and v 4.0. If you are using other extensions, you have to check 
compatibility with 4.0 for each of them. But as I understand, it looks to 
be few compability issues.
