[Typo3] looks fine in Firefox but not in IE

Hi all, I'm using a custom template in Typo3. Basically is a two-column table, left for menu and right for content. Also inside "right cell" there is another table to show a box content container.
Since this is home template tt_news plugin is in.
The page renders fine in firefox but from IE appears an "<a" where shouldn't be. I mean there is no sucha tag in template or in TS, so I cannot explain why it's showing.
 
any hints?
