[Typo3] Advice on multi-user newsletter please

Hi,

I am setting up a sporting community website using Typo3 (first project using Typo3 so please bear with me).
Much of the content will be edited and added directly by the various local sporting organisations with a controlling group overlooking the site as a whole.

An element I need to include is a newsletter where FE users can subscribe to specific categories such as specific teams or sports. BE Admins for each sport will then send newsletters out to their specific subscribers. The controlling group should also be able to send out newsletters to all groups.

I need to be able to control the BE Admins the same way page editing can be controlled so that they only send to their allotted mailing list.

Ideally, the newsletter should be able to be built within the BE admin area similar to building a page and should be sent in both HTML and Plain Text.

Do any of the newsletter extensions do all this? Comments on the pros and cons of the various newsletter extensions would be most helpful.
