[Typo3] Japanese & RTE problems

Hi,

I'm trying to put Japanese content on a website, and I'm using the
HTMLAREA RTE in Typo3. Entering Japanese characters works, and they appear
in the editor. But after I save it, these characters appear:
こんにち
In the Frontend, they appear correctly as Japanese. But I would like to
edit it in the Backend Editor as well :)
Any suggestions?
