[Typo3] New SRFE not working

Hello list,
   My question is, a new version of the Registration system (SRFE) has been  
released. I just set up the extension, and it works, sends an email to me  
to click the link to complete registration.
   But, when the link is clicked, I get
"There seems to be a problem.
We are sorry that it was not possible to complete this process.
Perhaps you clicked twice on the link?"

I did not click twice.

The extension seemed to work in a previous version..any thoughts?
