You didn't say it was supported either :-P
So far all I got was a

message, but the script in the userFunc wasn't executed at all.

No, I didn't.
I tried to use the extension Steffen suggested (best_getflexfield), but
this required a query in TS and quite a bit of TS to retrieve a single
value from a flexform. I needed five values...

Yeah, quite an achievement, isn't it? ;-)
Seriously, I like to write extensions, but I realize that they form an
extra load on the entire TYPO3 system. Whenever possible I like to solve
things with the tools that are already available. Some TS or an FCE are
often simpler solutions.

Anyway, I have already made some nice FCEs with GIFBUILDER stuff, etc. and
I was a bit disappointed that it was so hard to get a userFunc working. (I
am still totally at sea regarding userFuncs and FCEs)
