[Typo3-dev] Idea: Browser drivers

At first sounds interesting...

Imho that is not really needed anymore and will be even of less 
importance in future when IE looses its users or maybe even supports at 
least some parts of the standards. ;)

a) carfully crafted XHML and CSS can make fully compatible nice layouts 
already now.
b) The DOM-Model by W3c seems supported by major brwosers mostly as well 
and can easily be used for cross-browser-compliant active-scripting on 
client-side

What for is the need of browser-driver?

Since most commonly one needs some stupid and wicked things added for IE 
in CSS but there are already nice ways to do so.

I can't also see how your idea could work like this just by some kind of 
automation only...
