[Typo3-dev] Image Processing API - getting rid of IM

Um, no, Fireworks is almost feature complete with Photoshop AND has a
COMPLETE scripting api. The most complete, well-thought-out, and
bug-free scripting api I've ever seen, and I've done lots of workflow
scripting in the desktop publishing industry, scripting Quark,
Pagemaker, Fireworks, Photoshop, Filemaker etc. to produce large
documents like catalogs, etc.

Fireworks as a gui app is Photoshop-for-web-graphics. Fireworks driven
by scripts is IM. Except then IM is a home-garage-built jalopy &
Fireworks is a Mercedes.

And as I mentioned it has a built in xml-rpc server, for creating
graphics without going through the gui at all. It can easily serve as
the basis of a graphics generation tool. The quality is much better
than IM, to the extent that on the current site I'm building, typo3
generated title graphics/headlines are accepted only temporarily with
the proviso that in two months when time & budget allow they'll all be
replaced by fireworks generated graphics, so I will be doing at least a
small part of this project irregardless. I was just curious if anyone
else was interested, and making it an open source tool.

Cheers,
