        I am looking for extending Indexed serach engine so that it also
indexes ppt & excel
It wud be great if someone give some pointers !!

I did find a tool that convert ppt 2 html (not text :-( )

I don't know any tools that can read PPT files (do you?), but Excel indexing
should be possible.

As far as I know, the indexed search engine is being rewritten, but I don't
know the timeline...
If it takes too long then I will probably add xls support to the extension.
