I tried both of them, but I didn't get an RTE at all when I installed them.

I agree. I modified the one published by Kasper to suit our customers' "Word
Cleaning" needs when doing copy-paste from MSWord (yes, most of our
customers use Microsoft products :-)

The one thing I am still missing is a user friendly way of defining internal
links (as in the original RTE).
