Hi

Daniel, nice, you have mentioned the same issue i also have. The Custom X Wide needs a lot of Power to handle. I was using it 3 days in sölden last week and switched over to the nearly defective baron again, i saw that i was able to ride longer without breaks....
I was wondering, "can there be such a difference in boards?".
Yes....

Steffan is right, I mixed up the Baron with the Triumph, which has a tapered
shape (smaller tail). That also applies to the Guru and Supermodel, but not
to the Baron or the Custom X. Speaking about jungle...

I have been riding the Custom X Wide this winter and second Steffan's
opinion.

It is torsionally very stiff, has the most unforgiving (but also stable)
edges and overall a lot of camber (Vorspannung).

Good board to hone your technique as it forces you to use a lot of power
"surgically" to control it. Definitely not a good board to make a mistake
with. You'll have little chance to bail out beyond a certain speed.

That said, I am missing the smaller tail of the Baron a bit, especially in
the power.

best
