You are right, the custom x wide is stiffer (i was comparing it for some minutes ago) and i feel also that it is much faster on the piste... 

So maybe the Burton guy was not knowing of all the different boardtypes....it's a jungle....

Valuable info, since a local seller said the Custom is much stiffer and 
less condone than the Baron.
