Both my children learned skiing with three years - and I would  
definitely recommend Hardboots.
Everything else is in my opinion too dangerous, an ankle joint is an  
easy part to break...

But I am sorry we don't have the tiny skiis anymore - we had the  
possiblilty to rent it every year and change it the next year for  
bigger ones.

And don't forget to bring your water boiler and a thermos bottle - you  
and you're daughter will need something hot to drink during the  
breaks ;)
