I did this with my 2 year old daughter this year. In all places I went 
to you only can rent "professional" skis (>=1m) with hardboots (>=26 or 
so) and klick-bindings. Hardboots hurt. Try to buy cheap plastic strap 
on skis at home for normal shoes, much more appropriate, but pretty hard 
to get these days.

Expect half-hour sessions in the flat only ;) IIRC ski schools (good 
idea) take from 4 years and above.

Don't forget sunglasses and an old goggle for windy days ;-)

I don't know how I'll get there yet, probably I could bring those 
plastic strappers.
