from your experience: is there anybody cross-country skiing?

does is make sense to come if i'm cross-country skiing and not alpine 
skiing or snowboarding? i think there'll be some get-together in a 
alpine hut about lunchtime. normally these alpine huts are at the alpine 
ski-runs and not at the cross-country ski-tracks ;-)
