The above ironic remark was related to the quota system, because the
election results used to be decided by the polit bureau before the actual
convention, much like imposing how many people from a given country are to
be interested.
Regarding critcism in general, I already wrote that I find Bernd's
suggestion practical and fair, so I hope somebody will be there to restate
it next summer.
If I don't seem too open to this discussion, it is that I just find it less
helpful to receive criticism when it's too late instead of team spirit when
it's needed.

Well, you can't have both: a smaller tour and enough spots for everyone.
No matter what will change next year, the competition for slots will be even
fiercer and it might be decided in the first 2-4 hours, provided CC payment
is available.

If more people would add in some of your thought _and_ development time,
