Every tour before it was a matter of months.

yes. This is a fact.

Switzerland is quite small compared to germany (taking pure size in 
square feet.

The only real unfair thing is people taking up seats at a snowboard tour 
without skiing or riding snowboards.
And if everybody who knows he/she won't spend 6 days on the slopes chose 
not to come (btw. if not snowboarding, why attend a snowboard tour?) 
there would have been plenty of places left.
