[Neos] How to keep template paths configurable

Hi everybody,

I found an article on how to keep template paths configurable for TYPO3 Neos packages:

Would you consider this as a best practice or is there something else you would recommend instead?

I was thinking about e.g. something using AOP to modify the initializeView() method. Then it would not only be possible to make template paths of your own packages configurable (like it was done in the above mentioned example) but also 3rd party packeges' template paths could thus be made configurable.

But maybe there is even a more elegant possibility to keep the package template paths configurable?
