The CLI version should be good, otherwise the compile step would not have 
worked.
However, it looks like the HTTP version is wrong. Please create a file in 
your docroot with the content:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>

Then call it via a web browser. It will tell you, among other things, which 
php.ini is used to serve the request and what value is set for memory_limit.
