[Neos] VMware, Ubuntu and OSX - not finding virtual host

Hi,

I have a problem with accessing the admin section of my NEOS installation from my Mac.

For development I usually use virtual machines (VMWare Fusion 5/6 on OSX or Windows, depending on where I am at the moment) and for NEOS, I created a Ubuntu 12 server VM.
I installed NEOS in the guest as per instructions, configured the virtual server and modified the hosts files on guest and host OS.

Linux hosts file:
         127.0.0.1	neos1.demo

Windows XP & OSX hosts file:
         192.168.1.231	neos1.demo
