Hey everybody,
I had a few hours to spare, and as I recently learned a lot about the
topic of graph databases, I finally took the time and thought whether
this technology could be a scalable backend implementation for TYPO3CR.
It's clearly not a topic I'd solve for 1.0 or 1.1, but I just wanted to
write this down somewhere in order to get it out of my head.
You'll find my notes at ticket http://forge.typo3.org/issues/48526 --
which has a very big image attached to it containing the concept.
Furthermore, I added another (non-scheduled) work package as a parent
task, as I know that Rens wanted to look (again) into PHPCR some time in
the future; and I think this work-package could serve as a container for
these kinds of tasks related to TYPO3CR Performance and Scalability (
http://forge.typo3.org/issues/48525 ).
Greets, have a wonderful weekend,
Sebastian
