Hi Jigal,

sorry to hear  about that ... have you had a look at 
http://progit.org/book/?
It's a great, complete book about Git (free online version) which might 
help to understand why Git is how it is sometimes ;) Btw: It also deals 
with using Git as a Subversion client.
