IMHO, there is one big point, where the magic methods get important:
delegation.


I'm actually working on a replacement of XCLASSES in TYPO3 < 5, where I
use the principle of delegation and there primary the magic-method
"__call" is a must.


So, if you don't plan to use this design-pattern definitly in the
future, you can add the ban of magic-methods in the coding-guide.
