The current power of the nested TS tree gets lost. The result would be a
simple box template in Nuke style, where one component simply follows the
other because of 

$this->response->setData(); 

or more on the spot: 

$this->response->appendData();


One advantage of the PAC pattern is, that the parent node doesn't depend on
informations of the child nodes. The outer parts of the document can
already by displayed while inner parts are still executed. That could speed
up the presentation of complex pages like typo3.org in combination with
ajax.
