[FLOW3-general] Neos installed, home page of demo comes up, but thats it

I installed the demo package and the home page comes up, but any other 
page generates an error.

If I try to log into the back end, I enter my username & password, but 
then get a "Page Not Found  Sorry, the page you requested was not 
found."  message.

Any idea?
