[FLOW3-general] Deployment & System requirements

Hello,

currently I evaluate PHP frameworks in general an since I really like 
TYPO3 I thought to take a closer look at FLOW3...

This is awesome! Good work, easy to understand and quite brilliant 
concept. ;)

Anyway, I am going to write an stand alone open source CRM application. 
FLOW3 seems to be the best partner but one goal is to work with normal 
system requirements and shared hosting. The target group won't have SSH 
access. I read that this is necessary for installing but hopefully not 
for the customer.

Which requirements are necessary for the customer? Is there a fall back 
if a htaccess is not availible? Where can I find more information about 
TYPO3.surf?
