Hi, I'm Daniel Dornhardt, I was at the t3e12 a few weeks ago. I was "the
guy who asked a lot of questions" :)
As it turns out I still got more questions - and I have the suspicion that
these questions have been raised before. But I don't know how to find out
if these issues have been discussed already and with which outcome.
I think that there is a general problem with the mailing list + IRC -
system. When a new user joins, he won't have read the old messages and
maybe is, as I am, too self conscious to ask "stupid questions" and to ask
about everything he wants to understand *once again*.
Furthermore, all the precious solutions, fixes, tipps & tricks, snippets,
discussions and explanations on the mailing list and in the chat room will
be lost in time - like tears in the rain.
My Question:
Who's up-to-speed with the documentation and the "information management"?
Is there someone I could talk with to get a better overview personally? How
do these things get managed?
My Suggestion:
It'd be great to have a cookbook - like page or something where users could
post snippets, questions & solutions and maybe general FAQ, preferably
sorted by topic. I'd also thought about stack overflow, but maybe a
dedicated area in a wiki might be a good enough start as well.
Of course it would be good if it would be nice on the eyes and easily
editable or at least commentable even for non-Flow3 - Developers.
I'd really like to help out with the documentation and helping new
flow3-users find the right resources to use flow3 and to be able to
participate in the community.
I also saw that Franz Kugelmann - Hi, Franz! - is going to work on the
documentation, so hey, if you read this, Franz, give me a shout and maybe
we can look at this together as well.
Please, all you guys, give me your opinions or any pointers you have.
Alles Gute, i mean, best wishes
Daniel
