Hey Jigal,

Yeah, and my fellow team members and me still feel very much bound and
motivated by the Berlin Manifesto. It is still true what we decided back
then. I also feel that the same is very true for many v4 core devs,
which is equally important.

I'd rather say "we must bring the visions of v4 and v5 closer together",
and learn from each other. We (=the v5 team) are obviously not always
taking the perfect decisions; there quite some points which we can learn
from v4 as well. And that's the case the other way round as well.

It's not "v5 creates, v4 copies it"; but it is "v4 is inspired by v5;
and v5 is inspired by v4". :-)

For the list module which is currently being redone as part of the BLE
project; I am in contact with quite some v4 devs involved in this; and
we hope that we can forward-port the re-done list module to Phoenix as well.

I agree with you that we need to stabilize; and I think that has
happened in the last months and will still happen in the next half year
or so. However, we also need to re-think our past decisions every once
in a while; and reflect upon them; as that's one of the most effective
ways to learn things :-)

Regarding ExtJS / SproutCore; I'd suggest that you watch the video; it's
just 45 minutes; and then you'll see that we did not take this decision
lightly; but it was a long process and we have judged many pros and cons
(@Thomas Allmer: I'd also suggest that to you; as also MooTools etc do
not have the features which makes us so productive like with SproutCore...)

Greets,
Sebastian
