[Typo3-UG UK] Graphics as a menu

Hello,

my girl friend ask me to do her a website. Cos' she is working in 
marketing, it should be nice this time and not my usual simple 
stuff.

She wants graphic images as a menu (three levels in total). Each 
image is a symbol instead of a text. How to I solve this ? Can 
anyone please post some TS code as an example ?
