[TYPO3-UG US] Disable HTML formatting in anchor tags in RTE (<a href="tel:....")?

Hi all!

I'm working on a mobile site and our client would like to be able to put
anchor tags such as <a href="tel:+13435850404">Call our offices today!</a> -
clicking this link on an iPhone (or Android) will cause the phone
application to launch (which is what I want!). The problem is that when I
switch the RTE to HTML mode and enter the code manually, the RTE tries to
"fix" the anchor tag and replaces the link with something totally
different/broken.

Is there a way to tell TYPO3 "don't touch this! html!" if I've edited
something with the RTE in HTML mode? Or is there a better way I should be
inserting these "special" anchor tags?
