I am finding the TYPO3 book very helpful. Even though I am muddling
through that, at least I can mark it up and add sticky notes. I
recommend it highly!

Subject: [TYPO3-UG US] Modern Template Building, Part 1 (MTB/1)

I am new to typo, and I really am looking forward to everything it has
to offer. After the install my first point of business is to see how
easy/difficult it is to design a website around typo. It was suggest by
Dimitri to read the Modern Template Building, Part 1 (MTB/1). And I have
been doing that, however it is slow going. I get to about the 1.2.5
Basics of "Setup-field" instructions section, and things start going
downhill. And I am crawling through the remainder of the document.

I wanted to know if there is any easier to understand, or other
tutorials out there that might be able to give me an easier
understanding of how to design templates for typo. I would like to use
dreamweaver to do this if possible. I would with a popular shopping cart
now, and when I design skins for that I know what snippets of code to
put where, that will add the cart functions to the design. But with this
I am just not seeing how this all goes together. Since I am not a
programmer by nature I am finding this to be difficult to get through
and understand.

Any help or direction you all can offer would be appreicated. I am
certainly not looking for a quick solution, but at least one I can
understand.

Chris
