Ideally, website performance should not be an issue as long as your
application is scalable with more and better hardware. Why bother with
expensive performance optimization when you can simply throw more hardware
at the problem? This principle is successfully applied in basically all
really large dynamic websites, such as Wikipedia, Slashdot, LiveJournal and
most prominently Google.

Niet dat ik het er mee eens ben, maar dit is wel het standpunt van TYPO3
blijkbaar.

Bummer... Vraag blijft in elk geval wat de plannen zijn omtrent die 
verbeterde cache. Want het huidige cache systeem lijkt toch redelijk 
problematisch ingeval van grotere sites en redelijk wat extensies: vele 
miljoenen records (en gigabytes) in db.
