...and time and patience: if you are planing to migrate as a skilled IT 
expert, your occupation has to be assessed by ACS (Australian Computer 
Society) - about 2 to 3 months (after collecting, certifying and 
translating all documents). Then you can apply for a visa (after 
collecting, certifying and translating all other documents :-) - about 6 
to 9 months processing time.

But... you can get a W&H visa in just few minutes if you meet the 
requirements. With a "normal" tourist visa you must not work or search 
for work whilst in Australia!

PS: Do not trust the German TV series about emigration! This is just 
entertainment and 80% misexposition.
