I already added Afrikaans to the translation server.

@Jigal, is it ok for you to provide the patch? (language code is 'af').
Beware, there are quite a few places in Core to be changed.

@Derik, please log into the translation server
(http://translation.typo3.org) and report here your username. I'll then
make you leader for this language.
