Please consider reviewing the rules I have started here:

The old T3UXW wiki page contains too much background info that is
important but not relevant to someone who just wants to know how to
layout their TCEforms.

The guidelines from http://wiki.typo3.org/TCEformsRecommendedLayout
could be later on included in the official documentation (TYPO3 Core
API, where the TCA is described).
