How do you check that translations are not up tp date in TER?

I discovered something yesterday.

If extension or core has translations inside their language files, anything from language pack will be ignored. May be this is what happens in your case?

If you moved translation to a separate file, you can contact extension's author and ask him to remove translations from xml. This is easy to do without llxmltranslate.

TYPO3 4.2 will give priority to language packs and ignore translations in extensions if corresponding file exists in language pack.
