By the way, this thinking "that's too much hassle for a few disabled 
persons" is what makes the life of these few ones, that had more bad 
luck than others - like hell.

No matter if it is public buildings with stairs - that makes it 
impossible for wheelchairs to enter - or non-accessible sidewalks, 
toilets or elevators in our cities, or (thankfully a thing of the past) 
non barrier-free entrances and passenger cabins of aircrafts.

To quote one of my favourite quotes:
"It's time that a country or community isn't valued by their military 
strength anymore, but by their way how they treat people that are worse 
off than others."
