Also MS has "stolen" part of that idea in Office 2007.

Matthew, you should put your idea 2, 3 and 4 on the typo3.teams.typo3org 
list. As I understand, the HCI project are about the interface of TYPO3 BE, 
and your ideas are more about how to make documentation and newbie resources 
organized in a better way (and this is a typo3.org issue). But I have to 
say I second your ideas a long way.
