The menu itself is just a plain unordered list. But what is really 
interesting, is the system he has created (ScriptSheet), which allows 
changing of CSS & JS on the fly.
That way the entire layout incl. functionality can be changed without 
reloading.

Maybe it could be usefull for the new BE layout too?

He also has a Treemenu which uses the same unordered list, just with 
different CSS/JS.
