[TYPO3-dam-devel] Any other extensions needed?

Added, but why please is this a separate extension? Is it to proof the
concept? I would find it easier to integrate this into tx_dam and make it
configurable through ext_conf_template.txt.

These are more bound to René than the rest of DAM, just because of the name.

Instead, I suggest that you rename these extensions (= start over with new
extensions) and call them "sv_..." or even "dam_sv_..." if you think this
is only useful to the DAM system.

I think it's not the same to take them over just like the dam* extensions. I
can't just change the ownership of the TER extension keys therefore...

Though the extensions existed in typo3xdev, these were old versions, so I
removed them now. So no for these.

Yes, we already discussed this before creating the team mailing list. The
essence was that the extension should not be needed in TYPO3 4.1 and later.
Surprisingly, the latest update by René contains a change

"Fix: works with TYPO3 4.1"

and I really don't understand why this fix is something different than a
conflict option in ext_emconf.php.

Here is the part of the 0.3.0 => 0.4.0 diff which seems to contain
this "fix":

+  # cat=basic//10; type=boolean; label=TCE User Process Function : This
enables TCE to use user functions for field DB processing.  (With TYPO3
V4.1 this is not needed anymore to extended MM table handling for the
standard field types like 'group' and 'select'.)
+enable = 1

So probably, mmforeign does more than just fix these "standard field types"?

For now, the mmforeign extension stays out of the typo3xdev repository.
Also, I did not transfer the ownership of the TER extension key yet...
