I also thought you meant FE. Of course it would make sense for the Page 
module to be able to show hidden content elements. TemplaVoilà has such 
an option.

But that was not the point of your original RFC was it? It was about 
hiding records upon translation. I we could live with "hideAtCopy" then 
no change need to be made. If we want to differentiate I would much 
rather have a TCA property called "hideOnTranslation" rather than a 
TCEMAIN TSconfig property, so that we stick to a similar mechanism as 
for copy.
